The main aim of this course is to talk about science in English. Students will learn English expressions about what they have learned in university classes. The level of science in this class is basic. Students will have opportunities to give mini-lectures on self-selected topics about science and practice discussion in English.
Eigo-Enshu classes are designed to help students further develop as autonomous
learners, critical thinkers, and global users of English. Through the various
themes/topics, genres, and/or language skills covered in the Eigo Enshu classes,
students are provided with opportunities to strengthen their mastery of English
according to their individual learning needs and goals. Class activities and teaching
materials are chosen and designed by individual teachers as shown in the course outline and weekly schedule below.

授業内容とその進め方
The main aim of this course is to develop skills in discussing scientific topics in English.
It includes input sessions on scientific expressions and output sessions for mini-lectures given by students.

授業時間外の学習
Students are expected to spend at least one hour each week preparing for the upcoming class, as well as reviewing materials from the previous lesson.

Mini-lecture 1 (keyword, one in-class presentation) = 20%
Mini-lecture 2 (concept, one in-class presentation) = 20%
Discussion about mini-lectures = 20%
Written assignment (Lecture plans and quizzes) = 20%
Keyword note = 20%
