By visualizing the invisible microbial world with a familiar personal device, this seminar offers a real-world analogue of Pokémon GO. Rather than relying on expensive microscopes, observations are conducted using individual smartphones, allowing students to experience science as an accessible activity open to everyone, not only to specialists. Starting from these microscopic observations, the seminar expands its perspective to a wide range of topics, including environmental issues, the relationship between science and society, and the global sharing of knowledge.
