This course supports students in terms of applying the scientific knowledge and language in English as well as academic skills obtained in the Spring to more realistic learning and research tasks. Such tasks include academic writing (accuracy and fluency), academic discussions, presentations, student-generated research topics and scientific investigation of such topics in a small group and/or individually. Building knowledge of technical vocabulary, and developing abstract writing skills will also be addressed in this course. In other words, students will be trained to take initiative, plan their own academic research in English, and communicate their study and research in English with their peers and professors more freely. Through realistic and semi-realistic projects such as reading academic journal articles, proceedings and presentation files that interest students and may serve as justification for selecting certain research labs for their graduation research in the fourth year, students will be able to practice and use the knowledge and skills acquired in this course.
