Main Topics: The advanced technology of mechatronics have been supported the development of our country. The commercial products based on mechatronics are widely covered intelligence of motor car, home electronics, machining systems, electrical parts of computers, digital communication tools, so on. This lecture treats basics of mechatronics and elements, for example those are electrical and electronic element technologies such as semiconductor elements and operational amplifiers, sensor and actuator system technologies such as sensors, actuators, computers.

The contents of this lecture are as followings;
A) Electrical and electronic element technology
1) Passive elements (resistors, capacitors, coils, etc.) of electronic circuits
2) Semiconductor device 1 of an electronic circuit (principle of semiconductor, diode)
3) Semiconductor element 2 of an electronic circuit (transistor, MOS, thyristor, etc.)
4) Operational amplifier 1 (principle and basic)
5) Op Amp 2 (Application, Adder, Calculator, Sample Hold)
6) Digital circuit 1 (basic logic element, basic combination circuit)
7) Digital circuit 2 (Counter, register, binary adder-subtracter)
B) Sensor and actuator system technology
8) Sensor (position, acceleration, temperature) for measuring the motion of mechatronics
9) Actuator 1 (type, DC servo motor principle, characteristics)
10) Actuator 2 (principle of AC servomotor, characteristic)

(A) Evaluation method:
We comprehensively evaluate the results of final exams and exercises / homework as follows.
Grading evaluation = (evaluation point of exercise / homework × 20%) + (evaluation point of the final exam × 80%)
(B) Reaching Level:
The minimum level is set with the following reaching levels.
Understanding the principle of operation of basic elements such as passive elements and diodes and its application to basic circuits. Understanding the principle of operational amplifier and application of basic circuit. Understanding of basic logic circuits such as AND, OR, FlipFlop and application to simple circuits such as counters. Understanding the principle of position, velocity, acceleration sensor. Understanding of the principle of DC and AC servo motor, pulse motor, hydraulic servo motor. Understanding basic architecture such as computer control method. And understanding of application examples to mechatro technology.
